Showroom Sales Specialist Job Type:
Part‑time (Saturdays required, evenings and weekend hours required)
Primary Responsibilities
Provide interior design advice and product expertise, facilitate tile and stone selection, support project development to ensure completion of selection and sales.
Log all client showroom visits, customer preferences and selection notes in CMT. Communicate with customers and internal team to track leads and close sales; report monthly sales closures.
Prospect new business focusing on custom builders and residential designers, make outside sales calls, and follow up on leads.
Maintain showroom samples and merchandising, including ordering, receiving and shipping customer examples.
Plan and host showroom tours and events for industry trade; attend outside trade events to build relationships and brand awareness.
Experience and Knowledge Required
Four‑year degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Competencies in sales/customer engagement, interior design, Auto‑CAD (plus color coordination and trend awareness).
Creative problem‑solving skills to conceptualize and document solutions.
Computer skills: MS Office, customer‑management tools.
Excellent oral, written, listening, and interpersonal skills.
Other Pertinent Job Information
Requires standing, manual handling, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, occasional sitting, climbing or balancing.
May lift and move up to 80 pounds.
Exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, varied temperatures, and loud noise levels.
