Job Description The

Sales Support Specialist I

will support Rheem’s activities and initiatives to increase sales and profitability by engaging Menard’s management and store personnel, as well as plumbers and contractors within the assigned territory. Provide product and merchandising training throughout the channel, develop, and support regional and local activities to grow sales and ensure proper company procedures are being followed.

This position will serve our Water Heater Division and is field-based within an assigned territory (St Louis, Southern Illinois, and Eastern Missouri).

Ideal candidate will reside in the St. Louis area.

Responsibilities

Participate and assist in events including: New Store Openings, Contractor Lunches, New Store Preview Nights, Demos, Training Events, Plumber Outreach, Regional Training Events.

Collaborate with Rheem’s training and sales teams to drive initiatives such as product launches and new programs.

Coordinate with team members on large plumber events and blitzes.

Assist in coordinating new store setup with the Menard’s merchandising group.

In-store merchandising, assortment changes, service tasks, planogram updates and maintenance.

Coordinate schedules to support market and report to Senior Sales Support Specialist for updates.

Assist in planning and executing sales strategies to create pull-through demand for the territory.

Build relationships with customers, store teams, and plumbers, acting as a product expert and business consultant.

Maintain relationships with store teams and sales support managers for customer handoffs.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent; or 2-4 years related experience and/or training.

Basic computer skills, experience with tracking and recording call information, updating customer profiles, and using Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to present in front of large groups (10+).

Strategic thinking with an innovative mindset.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Understanding of company services and market position.

Customer focus with ability to assess needs and troubleshoot.

Multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.

Ability to travel up to 50%.
