Store Sales Associate

Responsibilities

Processing freight

Assisting with price changes/markdowns

Balancing cashier drawer according to company policy

Calling out prices for customers when ringing transactions

BAG merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction

Handling cash, checks and credit cards correctly and per company policy

Obtains management approval for returns, voids and checks

Maintains and performs housekeeping duties as assigned

Provides proper customer service: greeting customers, adhering to fitting room policies, ringing customers in a timely fashion, thanking customers, inviting them to return

Follows all safety procedures

Maintains a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag

Assists management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock level

Assists management with tasks per company policy

Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions

Supports Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents, and following current policies

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends

Ability to perform mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages)
