Account Executive, Billington CyberSecurity Event Sponsorships Reporting to the President of Billington CyberSecurity, the Account Executive role at Billington Cybersecurity is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team and participate in our success by selling event sponsorships and full-year engagement programs to technology companies across the cybersecurity landscape. As Billington’s second dedicated Account Executive, you will play a key role in establishing and nurturing relationships with clients and in forging sponsorship agreements that help those clients reach Billington’s highly valued cybersecurity community through our educational events. The position will be responsible for sales to both existing and new sponsors. All training to be provided during the onboarding period.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, build relationships with and manage a pipeline of prospective new clients, expanding our network of sponsoring companies and driving new sales.

Conduct self-directed research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, client needs, and identify new sales opportunities.

Collaborate with Billington colleagues across departments to craft appealing sponsorship packages that meet client needs, drive positive client outcomes and ensure year over year sponsorship renewals.

Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to existing and new clients.

Cultivate relationships with existing Billington clients with a focus on client satisfaction, increased sponsorship spending and strong sponsorship renewal rates

Represent Billington CyberSecurity at and attend industry conferences and events to network and drive new business development.

Collaborate with the Billington marketing team to devise and launch effective lead generation campaigns.

Track and report sales pipeline and deal performance in HubSpot, Billington’s CRM platform.

Stay up to date with the latest trends, regulations, and advancements in the cybersecurity industry and the federal government's cybersecurity landscape.

Candidate Requirements & Skills

BA / BS

5+ years of sales experience (Sales experience in cybersecurity or a related technology field is preferred, but not required.)

Experience negotiating and closing high-value deals, and cultivating long-term client relationships

Experience achieving or exceeding sales targets

Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with prospects and clients at all levels

Detail oriented with keen ability to multitask and work under deadline

Ability to represent Billington CyberSecurity with confidence and poise when interacting with high-level government officials and private sector executives during sales pitches/negotiations and at Billington and industry events

Experience in or a passion for B2B events a plus

Curiosity about cybersecurity or a willingness to broadly learn about it. Working understanding of the cybersecurity industry and its relationship to the federal government, including FedCiv, DoD, Law Enforcement, and the IC a plus.

Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple clients, tasks and deadlines

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a results-driven mindset

Willingness to travel as required to attend client meetings, conferences, and events

Hubspot, Salesforce and Google Suite experience a plus
