The
Strategic Account Manager (SAM) – Data Solutions COE
will support business development activities within the Data Solutions COE by effectively identifying and establishing new clients, while also maintaining and expanding existing client relationships. These objectives will be achieved through close collaboration with the Data Solutions COE, Sales, and Operations leadership to evaluate opportunities, assess potential threats, and then work proactively to promote client retention and revenue growth. The SAM will serve as the key point of contact within Mistras for strategic client management, as well as commercial and project follow-up. This position will directly contribute to the Data Solutions COE’s revenue targets and will be tasked with helping to develop, implement, and promote expansion of our Data Solutions activities across the Group.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
Promote a safe work environment and a Safety-First attitude.
Have a full understanding of Mistras’ Data Solutions COE portfolio.
Serve as an expert for Data Solutions COE sales, with an initial focus on implementation & RBI sales activities.
Serve as a Brand Ambassador, helping to increase market awareness & sales activities of the Data Solutions COE via trade shows, professional engagements, standards committees, and industry forums, as deemed appropriate by Management.
Coordinate closely with the Data Solutions COE, Sales Management, and Operations to drive open collaboration, consistency, and continued revenue expansion across the Group.
Support Business Development Activities
Identify and Manage opportunities with new and existing clients
Improve client satisfaction and knowledge of available offerings
Provide a level of Account Management to existing customers
Facilitate Sales-cycle Activities
Develop and execute sales action plans that deliver profitable growth within the Data Solutions COE.
Manage clients through the entire sales cycle process including, but not limited to:
Opportunity identification
Project scoping
RFI/RFP approval processes
Proposal development
Job acceptance
Project handover
Work with SMEs to answer questions and demonstrate team expertise via:
Scheduled demos & discussions
Technical email and phone responses
Development of supporting material for distribution
Support the development of improved Data Solutions COE Material, Marketing, and Promotions.
Develop strong working relationships with existing clients to drive current and future improvement opportunities.
Update & maintain current customer information and sales activities in Mistras’ CRM on a daily & weekly basis.
Participate fully in training sessions, meetings, skill building and professional development classes.

Minimum Requirements:
Engineering degree or 8+ year’s industry experience related to mechanical integrity, inspection, maintenance activities, and/or IDMS/RBI Implementation
PCMS Implementation and RBI experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to work as both a leader and collaborative team member
Demonstrated ability to manage a large quantity of on-going projects
Business Development experience a plus
Valid Driver’s License
Travel between 30-60%
Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.)
CRM proficiency preferred
Essential Physical Functions:
Ability to climb stairs and ladders at customer walk downs and trade displays
Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.
