We are looking for a dynamic and results‑driven sales professional with a proven track record who is ready to grow with Lundbeck. The role focuses on the promotion of our psychiatry portfolio to primary care and neurology settings.
Territory Hattiesburg, MS – Multi‑Specialty. Target cities include Hattiesburg, Gulfport/Biloxi; candidates must live within 40 miles of the territory boundaries with access to a major airport. Eligible boundaries further extend to Meridian, Port Gibson, Natchez, Woodville, Hazelhurst up to the Alabama state line.
Summary As an Account Manager you will lead the promotion of our psychiatry portfolio, executing sales and marketing strategies with comprehensive clinical knowledge to drive sales performance. You will navigate the toughest commercialization challenges and demonstrate strong capability in business planning, selling, customer development, local market expertise, reimbursement, and compliance.
Essential Functions
Business Planning & Account Leadership
– Use digital tools and data to create opportunities, develop strategy & tactics, allocate resources, monitor progress and adjust direction to maximize sales performance.
Selling
– Deliver clear messages, effectively probe customer needs, handle objections, and close calls with a commitment to action.
Customer Development
– Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships based on customer needs and organizational goals, including “total office” account management where applicable.
Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise
– Gather and validate market trends, map account linkages, and apply therapeutic knowledge to uncover and prioritize unique opportunities.
Reimbursement
– Stay informed on reimbursement dynamics and address payer access issues (IDNs, Medicare, Medicaid, commercial) using Lundbeck resources.
Pharmaceutical Environment/Compliance
– Apply knowledge of pharmaceutical and regulatory environments, maintain Lundbeck policies and FDA regulations compliance.
Required Education, Experience & Skills
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences from an accredited university.
2–5 years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical/biologics, medical device or related healthcare sales experience.
High proficiency on disease and product training exams; annual product knowledge certification.
Self‑starter with strong work ethic, tenacity, and communication skills.
Adaptability to fast‑paced teams and collaboration.
Problem‑solving and analytical skills to identify solutions.
Strong computer and technical skills for data analysis.
Must reside within 40 miles of territory boundaries.
Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
Compliance with credentialing requirements of healthcare providers.
Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and move items up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling to general practitioners and primary care centers.
Experience promoting CNS/neuroscience products.
Experience working with alliance partners (co‑promotions).
Travel Up to 30–40 % domestic travel to meet customer base and attend internal/external conferences.
Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $108,000–$125,000 per year. Annual sales incentive target: $39,000. Benefits include flexible paid time off, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, and a company car.
