Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Position summary
As an Account Manager, you will build and strengthen relationships as a trusted customer advisor, aiming to provide comprehensive and effective support. You’ll be responsible for driving revenue growth through a consultative and team-based sales approach by strategically positioning solutions and services to meet our customers’ needs. An exceptional ability to achieve sales results and create strategic connections is required. Position details
Salary range: $90,000 - 120,000 plus commission; Potential OTE: Up to $240K. OTE range is commensurate with experience. Location – Boulder, CO; Houston, TX; or Remote Full-time Hybrid – 2 days in the office Reporting to: Director of Sales Travel requirements: Up to 25% Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship Primary responsibilities
Utilize a solution-selling approach to guide customers through the Customer’s Journey, ensure satisfaction, and identify new opportunities. Maintain deep knowledge of Yes Energy’s solutions and alignment with prospects’ needs. Understand the use cases of each Buyer Persona and how to serve them. Know the competitive landscape and how Yes Energy’s products differentiate. Enhance and cultivate existing customer relationships through timely, accurate information delivered proactively and reactively. Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and promote attendance at customer events and to schedule, plan, and facilitate discovery, presentation, demonstration, and training meetings (onsite and remote). Use Salesforce and 1:1 meetings to provide management feedback on pipeline health, risk, and progress. Provide accurate and timely follow-up from customer events. Stay updated on industry news and trends and their impact on energy trading markets. Forecast opportunities based on realistic assessments. Partner with Customer Success to ensure onboarding, handoff, and renewal preparation. Respond to escalated customer dissatisfaction with a solutions-focused approach and urgency. Minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, economics, or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of four years of B2B SaaS sales experience. Minimum of two years of leading a team using MEDDPICC and Value-Based Selling. Minimum of two years of sales-focused account management experience. Minimum of two years of experience working in SaaS for Energy Markets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills. Key competencies & attributes
Utilize MEDDPICC and Value-Based Selling to guide customers through the Customer’s Journey and discover opportunities. Engage in consultative selling to align customers’ needs with Yes Energy’s solutions. Comfortable selling at executive levels (CEO, COO, CFO, CIO). Independent work habits with proactive communication and multi-project management. Strong collaboration and teamwork skills. Customer service and problem-solving skills with attention to documentation and processes. Willingness to travel up to ~50% as needed. Ability to understand complex client requirements and articulate solutions. Expert knowledge of Salesforce. Strong desire to learn and a results-oriented mindset. Preferred qualifications
Experience with Salesforce is preferred. Experience selling SaaS, analytics, or data services to power market participants. Existing network in energy trading, renewables, or utility sectors. EEO statement
