Inside Sales Specialist - Industrial Supplies
at our rental facility in
Richmond, VA , and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, brings energy and drive, and wants to help build the future of construction. Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay after 40 hours. (On call during weekends in special circumstances) Primary Responsibilities
Review all incoming manifests and shipping documents and check against cargo received. Prepare manifests for departing transfers and/or deliveries. Review and sign off on all outgoing manifests and equipment departing. Assist shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and checking in merchandise. Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards. Receive items following company receiving procedures and shipping procedures. Perform 100% material receiving accuracy checks. Identify purchase order issues including overages, shortages and damages, communicate with the buyer for corrective action and resolution. Open and pack bales, crates, totes and other containers. Maintain inventory controls by recording stock locations and material movements. May assist in counting of physical inventory. Maintain a safe and clean work environment; keep shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat, sweep, dust and mop. Keep warehouse and work area organized for orderliness. Must own tools applicable to the position. Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hand and power tools, schematics and diagrams. Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles; maintain body agility. Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling; lifting and substantial use of upper back and arm muscles may be required. Clear spoken communication and the ability to receive detailed information. Exposure to environmental conditions, including extreme heat above 100° for periods of time.
