About the Opportunity:
A well-established and rapidly expanding HVAC controls and automation contractor in the Greater DMV region is seeking an experienced
Controls Programmer
to join its team. This full-time role includes both in-office programming and field-based commissioning work, offering excellent compensation, strong benefits, and long-term career growth.

Salary:
$100,000 – $110,000 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities: Develop custom BAS applications using both new code and standard libraries
Design automation system architectures and prepare detailed submittals
Program and integrate controls with third-party BAS systems
Modify, update, and maintain software across existing BAS deployments
Interpret mechanical drawings, control diagrams, and sequences of operation
Create BAS front-end graphics and user interface visuals
Perform point-to-point testing and verify system calibration
Install, configure, and troubleshoot workstations, networks, and communication devices
Provide remote and on-site support for system issues
Deliver end-user training on system operation and navigation
Preferred Experience: Previous experience as a Controls Programmer or BAS Software Specialist
Strong understanding of building automation architecture and integration strategies
Hands-on experience with Tridium/Niagara platforms (highly preferred)
Familiarity with Honeywell, Johnson FX, Vykon, or Trane controls is a plus
Industries Served: Commercial Buildings, Government/Municipal Facilities, Healthcare Environments
Project Types: Design-Build, New Construction, Retrofit Projects, and Ongoing BAS Service
Travel: Occasional regional travel within the DMV for job site support
