Job Description As a Global Key Account Manager II, you’ll be the designated contact for General Mills, one of Amcor’s Global Key Accounts. This role provides tactical sales direction and communication strategies to defend existing business, improve profitability of existing business, and to profitably develop new business. You’ll work with internal stakeholders to build and implement strategic business and marketing plans for assigned accounts. This role is focused on share of wallet growth for the global key account.

Location This role is 100% remote, candidate must reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin.

Drive For Results

Ownership of global key account, connecting Amcor’s values of safety, collaboration, accountability, results & outperformance into all aspects of role.

Support development and execution of account strategy to maintain share of wallet and profitability of the account.

Manage account complexities to support customer requirements and anticipate future needs.

Orchestrate and drive key business negotiations with internal stakeholder support, demonstrating an ability to influence decisions and actions.

Leverage knowledge of Amcor, our products, the industry and competitive market to enable the business to win.

Deliver sales goals including profitable year‑over‑year growth for the assigned territory.

Relationship Management

Advance relationships with customers to ensure proactive & difficult conversations.

Leverage highly collaborative relationships between Amcor and your accounts including senior leadership, marketing, R&D, procurement, engineering, quality, operations, sales management, support teams, key Amcor global contacts, to enhance sales initiatives and profitability while meeting customer needs.

Manage cross‑functional relationships to create share of wallet growth strategies and support commercialization and onboarding processes.

Build an external network consisting of key influencers and collaborators within the industry, with a focus on co‑packers, machine suppliers, OEMs, industry associations, and senior decision makers at targeted accounts.

Ensure Amcor and the key account adhere to contractual commitments, including inventory management, execution of value leadership strategies, and ownership of quality and service KPIs.

Stakeholder Engagements

Coordinate sales management, R&D, marketing and field service in support of validation trials and customer trials.

Manage accounts receivable at acceptable levels with assistance from the credit department.

Work with strategic marketing to identify, analyze and recommend actions to meet strategic unmet customer needs.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on technology, product management and commercial strategy for the market and targeted segments.

Reporting

Report and communicate current performance achievements in terms of sales and marketing contribution to the business unit for monthly management reporting.

Drive forecast accuracy for improved business results.

Identify competitive insights, marketing strategies, pricing structures or product performance and communicate intelligence to stakeholders.

Responsible for account planning, pipeline management, profitability improvements and churn management in CRM tool.

What We Want From You

Bachelor’s degree.

5+ years of experience working in a large‑scale business‑to‑business environment.

7+ years of relevant experience in technical, sales and general management, preferably within the packaging industry.

Experience leading negotiations.

Ability to travel domestically/internally/globally 60% of the time.

Compensation The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $129,200 to $161,500; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $129,200 to $193,800 depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Position may also be eligible for Amcor’s Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
