This Role In Summary Whirlpool is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Manager, Channel Sales. This role is onsite at our Riverview Campus, Benton Harbor, MI location. The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing retail specific go‑to‑market strategies that deliver our 3‑year growth roadmaps. A qualified candidate must be able to utilize their business knowledge to deliver profit plan targets (Net Sales and Direct Contribution Margin—DCM) and provide a unique value proposition to their assigned retailers. In this position, you will work closely with the Brand/Product/Shopper Marketing and Demand Planning teams to deliver the business plans across all product categories of the Consumer Packaged Goods under the Swash, everydrop, & affresh brands. This role builds strategic strong customer relationships, challenges the status quo and leads with accountability, bias for action and one Whirlpool values.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute retail specific go‑to‑market strategies (product, promotions, placement, in‑store activity, etc.) to increase sales through efficient management of promotional guidelines to accelerate both Whirlpool Corporation and retailer growth through expansion in current retail markets & prospect for new retail outlets

Build trade relationships and work together to mutually drive initiatives forward by analyzing data with attention to detail

Lead with a customer‑first mindset, challenge the status quo and leverage thought leadership to approach complex problems

Own outlook, supply/demand planning for assigned retailers & drive predictability across the value chain while managing the P&L for your respective accounts

Analyze and understand weekly drivers and market/competitive changes leveraging Point of Sale (POS) data & post audit test & learns

Master storytelling and communicating the benefits of our product and how they stack up against the competition in external facing decks to win line reviews to expand distribution

Practice agile, creative problem solving by working independently and with direct team on frequent, short deadlines

25% travel required within the US

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree

2+ years of sales experience

Preferred Skills And Experiences

MBA

Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing

CPG Experience

Experience buying, selling, or marketing and merchandising consumer packaged goods

Experience in driving growth

Strong analytical abilities with the ability to utilize data to formulate or support strategies

Strong P&L acumen

An in-depth understanding of trade channel selling processes / channel management, and financial analysis

Exceptional communicator with impeccable interpersonal skills, clear and effective writing, and excellent presentation skills

In‑depth knowledge of products and brands

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Leadership skills with the ability to positively influence the CPG culture

Project management and proven organizational skills
