The Role and What You’ll Do Based in New York, the Account Manager will manage day‑to‑day partnership activations of a client’s sports sponsorship initiatives, focusing primarily on soccer, professional skateboarding, and BMX freestyle.
Responsible for day‑to‑day management of client sports sponsorships.
Interface with other Account Team members, client, partners, and agencies to lead and support various sponsorship initiatives, assets, guidelines, and activations.
Lead development and implementation of sponsorship activation planning and initiatives and manage day‑to‑day relationships.
Lead creation and presentation of client‑ready materials, such as POVs, recommendations, and activation plans.
Develop detailed project plans for assigned events and manage timelines.
Interface with and manage extended teams, including strategy, experiential, or creative, to ensure brand is accurately represented.
Communicate partnership opportunities, priorities, and strategy with stakeholders worldwide and coordinate activations with key markets.
Help manage the sponsorship measurement and ROI process in conjunction with all programs.
Support sponsorship tactical implementation and coordination at all events where agency staff is needed.
You Have These
A minimum of 5-7 years of agency or client‑based sponsorship account management experience in sponsorship marketing, event marketing, and/or sponsor servicing. Surf experience is a plus.
League/team experience and understanding of the business of sports, sports media, and sports marketing/sponsorship, especially as it pertains to soccer.
Ability to manage the development and implementation of sponsorship marketing strategy on behalf of client or company.
Project management skills with high‑level attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
Ability to manage day‑to‑day relationships with client, agency(s), and vendors, and manage at least one direct report supporting the vertical.
Experience working with internal teams (account/creative) as well as other agency partners.
Superior client relationship/service skills.
Strong ability to think strategically and creatively with a global mindset.
Ability to problem‑solve independently and in groups.
Excellent time management, written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Ability to travel as needed.
Bachelor’s degree.
Compensation Hiring Rate Minimum: $67,500 annually. Hiring Rate Maximum: $90,000 annually.
