Responsible for delivering products and materials on a timely basis to job sites, as well as for loading and unloading trucks and providing supervision/direction to laborers as needed.
Duties And Responsibilities
Drive trucks from the facility to designated job sites safely and in a timely manner.
Load and unload building materials on and off trucks and carry materials onto job sites.
Keep mileage logs as necessary.
Follow directions from dispatcher/branch management.
Convey directions and work effectively with a partner.
Operate forklifts periodically.
Use personal protective equipment as required.
Responsible for care and maintenance of assigned vehicle.
Operate designated crane/boom, or moffett safely and efficiently.
Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Notify branch management immediately on any unsafe loading condition.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education And/Or Experience
Some schooling is preferred.
Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Must also obtain a clean driving history record.
Participate in mandatory federally regulated drug and alcohol program.
Physical Demands
Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Frequent lifting and carrying of objects including overhead lifting (weights will vary from 50 to 150 pounds).
Dexterity to manipulate and utilize equipment as needed.
Maintain visual acuity.
Exposure to environmental surroundings (e.g., dust and varying temperatures).
