German Speaking Live-in Nanny/Cook
Start Date : August
Days/Hours : Monday to Friday, 7.00am–7.00pm
Location : Berkshire, UK
Accommodation : Separate staff accommodation (private bedroom, private ensuite bathroom, shared kitchenette, shared laundry facilities, shared living room)

A lovely family based in Berkshire is looking for a German Speaking Live-in Nanny/Cook to join their welcoming, formal, yet affectionate household. You will be responsible for the care of 3 young children, aged 6, 4, and 1 years old, working alongside a fully staffed household.
Role Overview
Weekends : Flexibility to stay or leave (your choice). During the shooting season from October to the end of January, you will be required to work oneSaturday a month then a day off in the week if requested
Travel : Up to 6–8 weeks per year in Europe (EU passport required)
Languages : Fluent German and English essential
Driving : Confident driver with clean licence; nanny car provided (own car required for personal use)
Key Responsibilities
School runs and nursery drop-offs/pickups
Organising and attending daytime activities with the youngest child
Planning and supervising creative and educational activities (music, arts and crafts, outdoor play)
Assisting with homework, literacy, and numeracy in both English and German
Managing the children's diaries, including activities, appointments, and playdates
Preparing healthy, home-cooked meals for the children
Light housekeeping duties relating to the children (tidying play areas, helping the Housekeeper with child-related ironing)
Proxy parenting for up to 2 weeks per year
Travelling internationally with the family as required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Must be very discreet and respect the family's privacy
Fluent spoken and written German and English
A proven track record in similar private household roles
A confident, safe driving record (clean licence essential)
A warm, creative, and nurturing approach
Organisational skills with the ability to manage busy schedules and varied activities
A flexible attitude and willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment
Additional Information
The family home is based on a large country estate with dogs (large and small breeds), horses, and an equestrian and shooting centre. A love of the countryside and animals is essential.
