Marsh Kitchen & Bath is seeking a skilled and reliable Subcontractor specializing in cabinet installation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and cabinet installation, with the ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards of craftsmanship. Marsh Kitchen & Bath is an industry leader in kitchen and bath design, operating showrooms in the Triad, Charlotte, and Wilmington areas of North Carolina. Duties / Responsibilities
Install kitchen and bathroom cabinets in residential new construction and owner-occupied remodel settings according to design specifications and industry standards
Safely handle heavy cabinetry, materials, and tools while adhering to safety guidelines and protocols; Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure successful project completion.
Accurately measure and mark surfaces to determine the appropriate placement of cabinets; Utilize appropriate tools, such as saws, drills, and routers, to cut and shape cabinet materials as needed for a precise fit.
Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the installation process to ensure timely completion of projects.
Install decorative hardware & all cabinet accessories to complete the cabinet installation.
Conduct thorough inspections of completed installations to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications; Document job completion with report and photos.
Requirements Required Qualifications
Prior experience in cabinet installation and demo, preferably in a residential setting.
Strong carpentry skills, knowledge of woodworking techniques, and proficient use of power tools.
Certification or vocational training in carpentry or a related field.
Familiarity with various cabinet styles and materials (wood/laminate), hardware, and accessories.
Minimum Requirements
A minimum of 3+ years in Construction, Carpentry, or Home remodeling; Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Exceptional interpersonal skills that positively benefit interactions with team members, builders, and homeowners.
Effective communication, customer service, and teamwork skills. Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with all parties involved to ensure smooth job completion.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
All cabinets and job-related materials are delivered and will be on-site, typically staged. Must be able to lift and carry items up to 75 lbs.
Must be fully insured and able to meet all minimum requirements.
Must be able to pass a background check, have reliable transportation & all necessary tools.
Schedule and Availability
Year-round, steady work.
Ability to travel is a plus as job site locations can vary across NC & SC.
Willingness to stay overnight and/or work weekends on occasion.
