Stock Clerk – General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI)
Position: Full‑Time, Hourly – Location: Poway, CA – Salary: $38,230.00–$56,838.00
Job Overview General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is a world leader in remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars. The Stock Clerk supports warehouse operations, managing inventory of equipment, materials, and supplies.
Responsibilities
Receive, verify, and record incoming manufactured items and purchased goods.
Maintain accurate inventory records using computer systems or hard copy logs.
Prepare and package items for shipping, including labeling and documentation.
Monitor stock levels, replenish supplies, and manage space according to guidelines for temperature, humidity, weight, and floor loading.
Generate routine and ad hoc electronic and hard copy reports on inventory status.
Investigate and report inventory shortages, overages, or discrepancies.
Assist with laboratory material organization, including restocking, labeling, and equipment calibration support.
Provide basic computer support to engineering staff, coordinating with ITS for PC repairs.
Offer direction and support to less experienced staff as needed.
Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies in all operations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education may substitute for work experience.
Two or more years of experience in a shipping/receiving and inventory control environment.
In-depth understanding of stock room and inventory control practices in a large stock room environment.
Proficiency with office and specialized inventory/stock control software to track and record inventory levels.
Strong ability to set priorities and address routine and non‑routine issues with discretion.
Experience handling material with material handling equipment and interfacing with all levels of employees and customers.
Willingness to work extended hours as required.
