The Groundskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Must possess the ability to design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course.
Experience with operating greens/fairway mowers preferred.
Must possess the ability to create spray programs for the golf course including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and landscaping.
Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations.
Ability to give oral and written instructions.
Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation.
Must be dependable.
Responsibilities:
Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas.
Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.
Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed.
Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways.
Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds.
Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course.
Performs other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.
