– Install, maintain, and repair automatic sprinkler systems. Duties include working with pipes, fittings, valves, and related components to ensure proper installation and operation. The ideal candidate is customer‑focused and can work effectively both individually and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine layout and installation.

Measure and cut pipes to required lengths, installing them with fittings and connectors.

Install valves, alarms, and other sprinkler system components.

Test the system for leaks and ensure proper function.

Perform routine maintenance, replacing worn or damaged parts as needed.

Troubleshoot and repair sprinkler systems, diagnosing and recommending solutions to complex problems.

Communicate with customers and stakeholders to provide project updates, answer questions, and resolve issues.

Ensure compliance with local, state, federal codes and industry best practices.

Maintain accurate records of work performed, including labor and material costs, and prepare reports as required.

Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Demonstrate strong organization, motivation, and teamwork.

Work independently when needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Lift up to 70 lbs, be punctual and reliable.

Operate threading machines, battery‑operated hand tools, and basic hand tools safely.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 3 years independent field experience.

Experience with fire protection systems and components.

Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail.

Valid driver’s license.

Positive attitude and willingness to pursue progressive certifications and NFPA licensing.

Intermediate knowledge of sprinkler layout preferred.

Accurate, timely maintenance and work records, both written and electronic.

Willingness to work hard and learn.

Thorough completion of required paperwork.

Excellent customer service skills.

Problem‑solving skills, independently and as part of a team.

Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision.

Practice safe work practices per OSHA requirements.

Self‑starter mentality.

Physical Requirements

Capable of physical labor, carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 70 lbs.

Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and confined‑space work.

Work in unusual positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, high‑lift equipment up to 60 ft, ducts, crawl spaces, and above‑ceiling areas.

Read and understand construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
