Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the estimation process for rigging and machinery installation projects, ensuring accurate and competitive bids, and overseeing the preparation and of detailed project estimates.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the rigging estimation department and process for all projects.

Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates.

Develop comprehensive estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather all necessary information for accurate estimates.

Conduct site visits to understand project requirements and constraints.

Evaluate and select subcontractors and vendors based on price, quality, and reliability.

Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Present estimates and cost plans to senior management and clients.

Maintain and update a database of historical cost information for use in future estimates.

Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and best practices in rigging and machinery moving.

Promotes a strong safety culture and collaborates with the safety department to facilitate required training.

Qualifications

5+ years of construction experience managing and estimating equipment installation projects in the automotive and industrial sectors.

Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety standards.

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.

Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Experience successfully leading teams with multiple direct reports

Excellent leadership skills
