Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle Clinton (BPT) is a well established church of nearly 75 years, serving a small congregation and the community of Clinton and surrounding area. Our pastor position is a bi-vocational position requiring a second income. Along with the wages, pension and medical, we do provide a nice 5 bedroom home in a quiet neighbourhood with utilities paid by the church. We are looking for the one who God has called to pastor and lead our welcoming and outgoing family. Position Summary

The pastor of BPT is responsible for the overall spiritual and executive leadership of the congregation and the fulfillment of our purpose and mission in alignment with our values and goals. Position is accountable to the leadership team, Board of Deacons ( BOD ). The following criterion serves the Pastoral Search Committee of BPT as a guide in matching the spiritual qualifications, personality traits and characteristics of prospective pastoral candidates with the values of our church. A spiritual leader who has a heart for worship, evangelism, teaching and revival. Called and determined to see the establishment of God's kingdom in our assembly and our community. Meets scriptural prerequisites found in 1Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Peter 5:2&3 and Matthew 28:19&20. Hold credentials with the PAOC (or be able to satisfy the requirements for ordination within the PAOC) Possesses excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills in English. Able to provide leadership to the BOD as a spiritual coach and mentor, nurturing strong relationships and together pursue a healthy functioning team environment. Able to give general oversight to all administrative functions of the church with basic understanding of computer skills, business administration and financial matters. Able to fulfill the constitutional responsibilities of the church and conversant in conducting various meetings such as AGM and BOD. Demonstrate proficiency with conflict resolution. Main speaker at services but shares pulpit and provides opportunity for others to give testimony and develop. Able to motivate the congregation to spiritual maturity to fulfill the eternal purposes of God through the preaching of anointed, scripture based and life applicable sermons. In worship services, expressing love to the Lord in praise, singing (contemporary worship songs and hymns), sharing what the Lord has done and prayer. As well encourage the use of the manifestation gifts of the Holy Spirit within corporate worship. Promote teamwork and relationship as core values of volunteers. Program developments, including evangelism, leadership development and stewardship, encouraging others in the growth of their leadership abilities for various church ministries. Develop believers' spiritual maturity through Bible studies. Passionate about sharing God's word, not just in preaching, but as a daily outworking in his/her life and teaching us how to apply God's word in our daily lives. Hospitable and participates in the ministry of visitation and willing to provide occasional pastoral counselling. Considers local and community outreach to non-believers a priority and encourages the church to be involved with community events that impact the lives of all people in the community we serve. Able to partner with Christian organizations and work on community outreach initiatives. As a Pastor Search Committee we are praying for God's direction.
