Acquisition Sales Manager
Your Job The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the development of a commercial strategy and execution during the new business acquisition and early development phases of targeted programs. This role is specifically responsible for strategically growing and supporting the Honda, Hyundai, & associate Tier 1 business. This role also ensures seamless customer engagement, pricing strategy, negotiations, contract obtainment and program handoff to a project-based development team – post award. What you Will do in Your Role
Strategic Sales & Customer Engagement
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategy to support business growth and company profitability. Thinks systematically – anticipating market shifts, can influence strategic decision makers. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring alignment with long‑term strategic goals. Pursue new business opportunities and maintain proactive communication with customers on future programs and pipeline. Interface with customer purchasing and engineering teams to identify and secure new business opportunities in current supply space and others not currently supplied. Proactively gathers and synthesizes market intelligence to shape commercial strategy. Commercial Execution & Quoting
The sales manager will develop a competitive price to offer the customer based on market conditions to maximize RESRG profitability. The sales manager will create and submit detailed piece price and tooling breakdowns in customer portals, ensuring accurate and timely handoff to the Development team after award. The sales manager will generate tooling and piece price tracking charts for each program and ensure proper transition to the development team post award. Program Launch & Opportunity Management
Initiate and manage the receipt of RFQs and maintain our business opportunity software for tracking upcoming business. Present commercial opportunities during financial quote review meetings with the Value Estimating team during the pre‑award phase. Respond to commercial requests from both customers and internal teams for new RFQs and unawarded programs. Innovation & Strategic Alignment
Collaborate with the RESRG Innovation team to align on and quote strategic innovation projects. Partner with global counterparts to develop and implement customer/product strategies as needed. Leadership & Organizational Mindset
Drive value creation by identifying opportunities, optimizing resources, and fostering innovation. Model empowerment and accountability, taking ownership of outcomes and encouraging action.
