About The Role
We are seeking an Associate Manager, Key Accounts, a strategic, relationship‑driven sales professional with deep understanding of key account management in the beauty industry. This role serves as a bridge between the traditional sales executive level and full Key Account Management responsibility, offering growth into a Key Account Manager role. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical ability, leadership potential, and a proactive approach to driving account performance through collaboration and insight‑based selling. Responsibilities
Key Account Ownership: develop and nurture partnerships with assigned key accounts to achieve sales targets and strengthen long‑term relationships. Strategic Sales Planning: co‑lead development and execution of tailored sales strategies for each account, aligning with brand goals, category growth, and promotional opportunities. Business Development: identify opportunities for account expansion, cross‑category introductions, and improved product placement within key retail and e‑commerce partners. Product and Brand Expertise: maintain strong command of our product portfolio and communicate value propositions to buyers, planners, and merchandising teams. Market & Data Analysis: conduct regular market and performance reviews to identify growth trends, forecast sales, and monitor competitive activity within FDM, Discount, and Specialty channels. Promotions and Merchandising: collaborate with marketing and creative teams to plan, execute, and analyze promotional programs and merchandising strategies; present recommendations and ensure alignment with account objectives. Reporting and Forecasting: prepare and analyze sales reports, forecasts, and inventory updates, providing insights and data‑driven recommendations to senior leadership. Customer & Operational Excellence: serve as primary point of contact for accounts, addressing issues professionally and ensuring top‑tier client satisfaction. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: work closely with internal partners (Marketing, Product Development, Logistics, and Supply Chain) to ensure timely and successful execution of programs and launches. Leadership Growth: mentor junior sales coordinators or account support staff as part of your professional development toward a Key Account Manager role. Travel: travel as necessary to meet with key accounts, industry events, and trade shows. Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of sales experience, with prior experience in account management required. Minimum 2+ years of sales experience within the cosmetics/beauty/skincare industry. Strong understanding of the beauty space, utilizing trends and account demographics. Ability to translate complex product information into compelling sales conversations. Successful negotiation skills with a results‑driven focus. Strategic approach to assortment selection with the ability to expand our brand. Seamlessly navigate cross‑functional communication and support the sales team. Ability to address challenges and find solutions in a fast‑paced environment. Advanced working knowledge of CRM and ERP systems. Proficient in data reporting and analysis, with exposure to demand planning. Proficient in administrative tasks and other assignments as required.
