What do our Pest Control Consultants do? The primary purpose of this role is to sell the company’s industry‑leading pest management services and products to new and existing residential customers while maintaining a customer‑focused service to grow the business. You will be the face of our national brand in your local community, protecting homes and families. This includes assessing customers' needs through consultation, performing expert analysis using our product knowledge, and delivering pest control solutions that result in sales.
Responsibilities
Visually inspect homes for pests, harborage, and entry points; sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance based on findings.
Collaborate with Customer Service, Inside Sales, and Technicians to generate additional opportunities.
Partner with the Branch Manager to identify revenue streams, develop proposals, and propose enhancements to household services.
Complete home diagrams in the Sales CRM to ensure clear understanding of the customer’s home and potential challenges.
Follow up on past proposals to close sales opportunities.
Provide expert knowledge during new service installations to ensure satisfactory completion.
Record daily activities and sales performance in the company sales CRM.
Essential Job Functions
Move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 11–20 lbs. frequently, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and repositioning objects.
Move around a lot — regularly sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; navigate stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles; maintain balance on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces.
Comfortably deal with various pests (spiders, flies, mosquitoes, rodents, etc.) and enter small spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, and attics.
Safely operate a motor vehicle and keep it and all equipment clean.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator, and be okay with working in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
What You Need
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong social, customer service, and communication skills; related experience or training in sales is highly valued.
Prefer at least 1–2 years of pest technician or sales experience.
Travel up to 100% of time within assigned territory(s).
Base Pay Range Yearly: $35,360.00 – $42,432.00. Starting pay falls within this range and can vary based on location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
