Territory Target city for territory is Binghamton. Candidates must live within 40 miles of the territory boundaries and have access to a major airport. Territory includes Binghamton, Cassadaga, Elmira, and Norwich.

SUMMARY We are a global biopharmaceutical company focused exclusively on brain health. Our goal is to improve lives of people with neurological and psychiatric diseases. We need a dynamic, results-driven sales professional with a proven track record in a specialty product environment. As an Account Manager you will promote our psychiatry portfolio, execute sales and marketing strategies, and drive performance in primary care and neurology settings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Business Planning & Account Leadership – use digital tools and data-based insights to create opportunities, develop strategy, allocate resources, monitor progress and adjust to maximize performance.

Selling – deliver clear, compelling messages; probe customer needs; handle objections; close calls with commitments to drive behavior change.

Customer Development – build and maintain productive internal and external relationships; incorporate total office account management where applicable.

Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise – gather and validate key market trends, map account linkages and uncover unique opportunities.

Reimbursement – stay informed on reimbursement dynamics; address payer access issues across IDNs, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial.

Pharmaceutical Environment/Compliance – adhere to Lundbeck policies, procedures, and FDA regulations regarding product promotion.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree from an accredited institution.

2-5 years of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales or related healthcare sales experience.

Strong product knowledge – certified on product knowledge annually and score highly on disease and product exams.

Self-starter with strong work ethic, communication skills, tenacity and adaptability in a fast-paced team.

Problem-solving and data analysis skills.

Must live within 40 miles of territory boundaries.

Valid driver's license and safe driving record (driving is essential).

Compliance with healthcare provider credentialing requirements required for continued employment.

Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move items up to 25 lb.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Experience selling to general practitioners (GPs) and primary care centers.

Experience promoting CNS/neuroscience products.

Experience working with alliance partners (co-promotions).

TRAVEL Willingness/ability to travel 30-40% domestically to meet customer base and attend conferences.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: $108,000-$125,000 with sales incentive target of $39,000. Benefits include flexible PTO, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, company car, and additional benefits described on our career site. Applications accepted on an ongoing basis.
