Responsibilities
Processing freight
Assisting with price changes/markdowns
Balancing the register according to company policy
Calling out prices for customers when ringing transactions
Bags merchandise efficiently at the point of sale
Handling cash, checks, and credit cards correctly and by company policy
Obtaining management approval when needed for returns, voids, and checks
Handling maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
Providing proper customer service (greeting customers, adhering to fitting room policies, ringing customers in timely, thanking customers for shopping, and inviting return)
Following all safety procedures
Maintaining a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag
Assisting management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock levels
Assisting management with tasks requested per company policy
Explaining exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
Assisting Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty, and following current operational policies
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
