Who We Are Diasphere is an Austin-based BIM and VDC services company specializing in commercial, residential and public projects for the Mechanical and Plumbing trades. Our team combines technical accuracy with a proactive, growth-minded culture. We’re growing our Austin office and are looking for an amazingly talented BIM Specialist (Mechanical/Plumbing) – Field Experience (required) to join our team!
What You’ll Do As a BIM Specialist, you’ll help produce high-quality MEP models and deliver coordination drawings and construction documentation, ensuring accuracy and constructability of the final deliverables. You’ll closely engage with BIM Production Team, Project Managers and Superintendents.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, coordinate, and maintain detailed BIM models of MEP trades (Mechanical and Plumbing);
Update BIM models based on field conditions and redline markups;
Detect and resolve clashes, coordination issues, and constructability gaps using Navisworks;
Generate fabrication and installation drawings from coordinated models;
Document and communicate RFIs and technical questions;
Apply design revisions and as-built updates throughout the project;
Participate in internal QC reviews to ensure model accuracy meets field expectations;
Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and trade partners;
Contribute to development and improvement of BIM production processes.
Qualifications
1+ year of hands‑on experience with Autodesk Revit MEP/Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC);
3+ year field experience or close collaboration with on‑site construction teams (Mechanical and Plumbing trades);
Proficiency in Navisworks Manage and Bluebeam;
Strong understanding of construction drawings, installation sequencing, and shop‑level detailing;
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote or hybrid environment;
Will be a plus: experience with Fabrication Parts in Revit.
