What You’ll Do: As a Service Advisor you play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service by greeting customers upon their arrival in the maintenance area, listening attentively to their vehicle concerns, and conducting thorough inspections. The Service Advisor will proactively check for recalls, retrieve crucial vehicle information, and maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and providing daily updates. Administrative duties, including submitting documentation for warranty repair orders and handling customer relations, will be performed on a per-need basis. Additionally, the Service Advisor will be responsible for verifying warranty and service contract coverage, preparing detailed repair orders, obtaining necessary approvals, and monitoring repair work to ensure timely completion. The Service Advisor plays a pivotal role in reviewing completed jobs, collecting payments, and efficiently closing out service orders. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Job Duties: Customer Service Duties:

Greets customers upon arriving in maintenance area

Ascertains vehicle problems and services by listening to customer’s description of symptoms

Clarifies description of problems

Conducts inspections

Proactively checks for recalls

Submits documentation for warranty repair orders

Retrieves mileage and vin numbers from vehicle

Checks vehicle maintenance records

Maintains customer rapport by providing explanation of estimates and daily updates

Calls customer when job is complete and truck is ready for pick up

Establishes good customer relations by providing estimates and timelines

Administrative duties on per-need basis

Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers

Explains provisions and exclusions

Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems and causes discovered as well as repairs and service required

Obtains approval signatures

Enters RO into service database system and sends to Estimator and Dispatcher

Monitors repair work to ensure vehicle will be ready when promised

Prints warranty

Reviews jobs when completed

Collects payment from jobs

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven technical expertise

Knowledge of trucks and parts

Excellent problem-solving skills

Strong organizational skills

Able to work in fast-paced environment

Work well with internal and external customers

Compensation:

$20-$23/hour based on experience and qualifications

Full Time position

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to pass a post-offer drug screen, physical and background check.
