Job Description The Credit Products Underwriter II - Commercial is primarily responsible for underwriting more complex financial transactions, including the financing of multiple business endeavors such as: investment real estate, owner-occupied real estate, working capital, equipment, LBOs/acquisitions, healthcare-related opportunities, as well as credits augmented with an SBA guarantee. In addition, the CPU II is responsible for providing product and industry expertise to the client by designing and executing solutions for the more complex and specialized clients and transactions. Industries and Product offered are broad and require unique due diligence and analysis based on the type of business and structure. A high volume (50% +) of the Credit Requests are from prospects which require additional level of due diligence and analysis. The CPU II will have multiple active credit requests from various Relationship Managers and various geographic locations and must be able to prioritize and exhibit excellent time management. The CPU II will have client-facing responsibilities, providing the necessary consultation to deliver the best possible integrated solution to the client. Superb communication skills (written and verbal) must be present to effectively communicate with the various Relationship Managers and other BOKF personnel. The majority of the CPU II’s time will be balanced between analysis of clients, design and execution of deals, and joint client calls with RMs to provide expert counsel and advice. The CPU II will partner with the RMs to assist in generating revenue and profitability.

How You'll Spend Your Time

The majority of your time will be spent conducting the complex credit analysis to finance multiple business endeavors including; investment real estate, owner-occupied real estate, working capital, equipment, LBOs/acquisitions, healthcare-related opportunities, as well as credits augmented with an SBA guarantee.

Your day will consist of credit conversations, decision making, and communication with credit leadership and Relationship Managers.

You will work efficiently to get deals approved while mitigating risk.

You will prepare commitment reports for all of the multi-state markets supported by the lending center.

You will have client-facing responsibilities, providing consultation to deliver the best possible integrated solution to the client.

You will help mentor and train junior underwriters.

Education & Experience Requirements This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of credit analysis/credit products underwriter experience; or 14+ years of equivalent work related experience.
