I’m recruiting for a
Senior HR Generalist
supporting the North Plant of a fast‑growing, well‑established manufacturing company near Woodridge, IL. This site employs approximately
350–450 team members
across multiple shifts and is known for its clean, modern, climate‑controlled operation.
This isn’t a transactional HR role — it’s for someone who wants to be embedded in the business, partner closely with plant leadership, and help maintain a strong, people‑first culture while the organization continues to expand.
What You’ll Own Employee Relations & Workforce Support
Advise supervisors and managers through day‑to‑day people challenges
Handle employee relations with fairness, consistency, and sound judgment
Maintain trust and visibility on the production floor and across shifts
Talent, Development & Workforce Planning
Support leadership through staffing needs, internal movement, and team capability decisions
Assist with succession planning, development plans, and talent conversations
Coordinate training activities and development initiatives
Culture, Engagement & Performance
Help drive engagement programs, recognition efforts, and communication touchpoints
Support performance review cycles, coaching, documentation, and follow‑through
Reinforce a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
HR Operations & Data
Maintain accurate HR systems, reporting, and administrative compliance
Review workforce trends (attendance, turnover, staffing) and help build action plans
Partner with TA, Compensation, Benefits, and Training teams across the organization
Change & Continuous Improvement
Support initiatives tied to growth, new technology, organizational updates, or process changes
Bring structure, follow‑up, and consistent execution to projects and plant‑wide HR efforts
What Makes You a Strong Fit
5–10 years of HR Generalist or HRBP experience in manufacturing
Comfort supporting 200–600 employees across multi‑shift environments
Strong ER depth and the ability to navigate complexity with confidence
Solid data skills — able to interpret workforce metrics and act on them
Clear communicator with strong presence and responsiveness
Thrives in hands‑on, fast‑paced, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves settings
Builds strong relationships with operators, supervisors, and leadership alike
