Job Overview We are looking for a CAD Engineer who will report directly to the R&D Manager and will be responsible for the development and optimization of our existing and new products, using 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks. You will perform DFMEA and Finite Element Analysis, and also develop testing devices to verify your mechanical system solutions. You will be in direct contact with suppliers with respect to manufacturability (DFM), assembly (DFA) and control plans. You will collaborate with other core competence engineers to make fruitful design decisions in order to reach the project goals and timeline.

Key Responsibilities

Development and optimization of our existing and new products, using 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks

Conduct DFMEA analysis and review suppliers DFMEA & PFMEA

Perform Finite Element Analysis to ensure part resistance, durability and lightness

Create/improve 2D drawings and tolerance stack‑up analysis to obtain lightweight, cost‑optimized and manufacturable designs

Develop/use testing devices to verify technical solutions

Lead suppliers with respect to manufacturability (DFM), assembly (DFA) and robust control plan

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree and 3–6 years of relevant experience in precision mechanical engineering, ideally on gearboxes

Strong CAD and 2D drawing skills, preferably with SolidWorks

Experience with FMEAs and FEA methods

Experience with manufacturing tolerances, tolerance stack‑ups, DFM and DFA

Hands‑on, able to work autonomously

Ideally also experience developing/using test devices (LabView, Python)

Fluent in English; Dutch not required

Must be able to work in the EU without the need for VISA sponsorship

Being a cyclist is not mandatory, but we’re all passionate about cycling
