Location: Bennington Bible Church, Bennington, KS (15 miles from Salina, KS, serving Saline, Ottawa, Lincoln and Dickinson counties)

About Bennington Bible Church (BBC) is a vibrant, Bible-centered, non-denominational congregation located in Bennington, Kansas, just 15 minutes from the thriving regional hub of Salina (population ~47,000). Serving a regional congregation across Saline, Ottawa, Lincoln and Dickinson counties, BBC is committed to partnering with individuals, and families to equip people and communities to live Christ-centered lives. With a rich history since 1981 and a current season of growth, BBC seeks a Lead Pastor to serve as the spiritual leader, primary preacher, and shepherd of the congregation. The ideal candidate will be a Godly, relational, and visionary leader who upholds the inerrancy and authority of Scripture, aligns with BBC’s mission to glorify God through worship, discipleship, and outreach, and fosters unity in the body of Christ.
Key Responsibilities Preaching and Teaching Deliver biblically grounded, sermons that inspire, challenge, and equip the congregation for spiritual growth and practical application. Preaching at Sunday services which are held at 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM. Special event opportunities when needed. And ensuring alignment with BBC’s commitment to Scripture as the foundation for faith and practice. Equipping the congregation to grow in their personal walk with Christ and engage in disciple-making.
Spiritual Leadership and Vision Provide visionary leadership in collaboration with the Elder Board to advance BBC’s mission of partnering with individuals, families and equipping young people for Christ-centered life. Foster unity in a diverse congregation by promoting a culture of prayer, fellowship, and dependence on God. Oversee the spiritual direction of the church, ensuring ministries align with BBC’s values of God-exalting worship, biblical truth, and outreach.
Pastoral Care and Discipleship Shepherd the congregation through pastoral care, including counseling, visitation, and support during life’s challenges, building relational connections across all generations. Mentor and disciple church members, with a particular emphasis on equipping individuals, families and young people to live out their faith in their homes and communities. Support and develop staff to serve effectively in ministries, including youth, women’s, men’s and community outreach programs.
Administration and Team Leadership Work collaboratively with the Elder Board, staff (including Associate Pastor, Operations Coordinator, Ministry Staff and others), and to oversee church operations, ministry coordination, and Sunday service pulpit preaching and coordination. Provide leadership to existing staff, fostering a team-based approach to ministry while encouraging their growth in Christ-like character. Oversee the development and implementation of ministries, ensuring alignment with BBC’s vision and values.
Community Engagement and Outreach Support initiatives like the youth ministry, women’s ministry, men’s ministry including partnerships like KampOut with Kanakuk Christian Camps.
Qualifications Spiritual Maturity A clear calling to full-time pastoral ministry, with a demonstrated life of Christ-like character, humility, and dependence on God, meeting the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
Education and Experience A bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministry, theology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required; preferably as a senior or lead pastor, with a proven track record of effective preaching, leadership, and shepherding.

Skills and Abilities Strong preaching and teaching skills, with the ability to communicate biblical truth clearly and compellingly to the church congregation. Relational and approachable, with a heart for pastoral care and building connections across the Church body. Visionary leadership with the ability to cast a compelling vision, foster unity, and lead. Experience in mentoring is highly desirable, given BBC’s emphasis on equipping the congregation to effectively lead their homes, friends and family toward a Christ centered life. Ability to work collaboratively with elders, lead a team including staff, elders, and volunteers.
