Responsibilities

Prepare, run, setup, and operate the Shear Machine

Prepare, shear, issue material electronically, and submit RFPO if needed

Manage sheet metal material inventory, accurately issuing material to support Waterjet, Punch Press, and Laser Machines

Receive incoming material and scan it to the designated location

Responsible for overall area safety, delivery targets, and creative ways to increase product reliability, efficiency, and reduce overall cost

Understand blueprint reading and geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished part

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency certificate

3+ years of experience working with precision equipment (scales, calipers, height gauges, micrometers, etc.)

1+ years of experience with the setup and operation of a JMT Shear Machine or any shear brand machine

Preferred Skills and Experience

Ability to meet daily/weekly production goals with critical time schedules

Ability to read blueprints and complete basic math

Ability to run and operate a shear machine

Experience in material handling and production coordination is essential

Ability to manage the sheet metal material inventory (receiving, RFPO submission, shear, issuing materials)

Experience operating Waterjet, Punch Press, and Laser Machines

Additional Requirements

Must be able to work the following shifts: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Must be willing to work overtime and/or weekends as needed

Must be able to stand for long periods, climb ladders, bend, grasp, sit, pull, push, stoop, and stretch as generally required for this position

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted

Compensation and Benefits Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on job‑related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
