We are looking for a Sales Tax Analyst to join our Rexel team in Dallas, TX!

Summary The Sales Tax Analyst is responsible for ensuring the company is compliant with state and local sales tax regulations as it relates to exemption compliance.

What You'll Do

Assists with sales tax exemption certificates approval and sales tax dispute resolution

Provides timely review, approval, and coding of sales tax exemption certificates

Provides timely review, research, documentation, and approval of sales tax disputes

Assists with documenting sales tax exemption certificate process and procedures

Assists with developing sales tax training material to be deployed to key functions within the business

Meets with internal groups within the company such as Branches, Accounting, IT, and the Corporate Tax department

Prepares data extraction reports for sales tax exemption certificates

Provides sales tax exemption support including retrieval of invoices or other documentation required to respond to state audit requests

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

2+ years of sales tax exemption certificate experience

4 Year / Bachelor's Degree - Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field

Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency

Demonstrated customer focused behavior such as building positive relationships

Excellent problem-solving skills, internet research, direct resolution with taxing authorities

Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner

Ability to make recommendations based on investigation and judgment as well as ability to discern when to elevate issues

Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, ability to adjust communication based on customer situation

Active Listening - give full attention to the words and take time to understand the points being made and ask questions as appropriate

Time Management - ability to prioritize workload and manage one's own time

A positive approach and willingness to learn coupled with the ability to work in a team environment
