PART TIME CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER Position: Part Time Code Enforcement Officer (NJ CSC #01285)
Hours:
up to 25 hours/week; availability to work weekends through the spring, summer, and fall as well as afternoon and early evening hours.
Experience:
One (1) year of experience conducting inspections or investigations to detect violations of and ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations. Must pass a background check and possess a valid NJ driver’s license.
Examples of Work:
Conduct varied types of office and field work, including housing inspections, enforcement of municipal, property maintenance, and floodplain codes, issue notices of violation and summonses, and appearing in Municipal Court. Preferred credentials: NJ Hotel & Multiple Dwelling license/trainee license or Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor license.
Proficiency:
Computer, clerical, and communication skills; work well with the public in person and virtually.
Compensation:
$30.00/hour.
