Float Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)

to join our team! This position will support the MidCities, TX location.

This is a full-time Monday‑Friday position (8:30 am‑5 pm) with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

What does the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) do? Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care for patients in accordance with national and company standards and guidelines. The RN must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care, participate in quality initiatives, and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care.

Assess health status by interviewing patients and reviewing medical history.

Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.

Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.

Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.

Manage medication refill requests and record information in the patient chart.

Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests, referrals, and future appointments.

Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information.

Facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate related services.

Assist patients in locating community resources when available.

Inter‑professional collaboration.

Act as a resource for LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education. BSN preferred.

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.

Willing to consider an entry, mid, or senior level candidate.

Current RN state license in the practicing state.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
