Koniag Professional Services Koniag Government Services company is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Architect to support KPS and our government customer in the DC Metro area. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Role Overview The Enterprise Solution Architect is a critical role responsible for ensuring that the business's planned value is realized at the completion of program delivery for both business and IT execution and satisfaction. The role requires a strong background in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, and program management with a focus on identifying customer needs, translating requirements, and guiding the work through the program lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Apply enterprise architecture guiding principles to solution selection and delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and value realization.

Identify customer needs, prioritize capabilities and features, and translate these needs into technical requirements.

Guide the work through the program, from conception/pre‑planning to transition to support, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.

Work closely with customers to understand their needs, prioritize capabilities, create the solution vision and roadmap, and define requirements.

Model and analyze enterprise business, applications, and technology environments, providing insights and recommendations for optimization and alignment.

Facilitate stakeholder work sessions focused on making enterprise‑wide decisions that balance and prioritize the competing interests of individual stakeholder groups during program delivery.

Develop visualizations of information for decision support, enabling data‑driven decision‑making processes.

Apply enterprise architecture concepts to support various program management activities, including EA strategy, development, and operations, as well as the application of EA frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, TOGAF).

Identify and implement improvement opportunities within the enterprise architecture and solution delivery processes, fostering continuous improvement.

Determine the value of a program and ensure value traceability in alignment with program/mission business objectives.

Apply solution architecture principles to enact transformation projects in Agile environments, including developing conceptual, logical, and physical architectures.

Demonstrate experience in applying enterprise architecture, solution architecture, systems architecture, large‑scale transformation projects, program/project management and related disciplines.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements Education:

Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Ability to obtain a Public Trust.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Minimum of five years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, and program management.

Strong technical background and expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks, solution design, and systems integration.

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify business needs, translate requirements and develop effective solutions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders and facilitation of work sessions.

Proven experience in managing complex projects, including program management, transition management and operational concept development.

Familiarity with industry best practices, standards, and methodologies related to enterprise architecture, solution architecture and program management.

Ability to work in Agile environments and apply solution architecture principles to transformation projects.

Proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and decision support tools and techniques.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

Experience with office equipment (e.g., copiers, postage meters, audio/visual).

Knowledge of database management, reporting and data entry procedures.

Problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Office Location and Travel

Primary place of performance: Washington, D.C. (Rockville, MD, ACF Headquarters).
