Position Description
The Senior Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and optimizing all aspects of plant maintenance operations. This role focuses on long-term equipment reliability, advanced troubleshooting, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Senior Supervisor manages and develops a team of maintenance technicians, ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and partners with production and engineering teams to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians to ensure efficient execution of maintenance tasks.
Serve as the primary point of contact for maintenance-related issues across departments.
Provide advanced technical guidance and decision‑making support during complex troubleshooting and repairs.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
Analyze maintenance data and KPIs to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
Oversee troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automation systems, ensuring rapid resolution of critical plant issues.
Evaluate and recommend upgrades, modifications, or replacements of equipment to improve performance and reduce costs.
Ensure proper use of CMMS for work order management, asset tracking, and reporting.
Costs, improve energy efficiency, and optimize spare parts inventory.
Lead cross‑functional projects focused on process improvements, reliability engineering, and lean maintenance practices.
Partner with the Maintenance Manager and Engineering teams to plan and execute capital improvement projects.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned, with a focus on advancing maintenance excellence and supporting organizational growth.
Required Education & Qualifications
7+ years of experience in maintenance supervision in a manufacturing environment or industrial environment.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Experience with CMMS and preventative maintenance programs.
Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Knowledge of OSHA and other safety regulations.
Education Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
