About the Role As a founding AE at Clockwork, you’ll play a foundational role in shaping our sales motion. You’ll own the full sales cycle—from qualifying inbound leads to closing deals and be a core part of building the GTM playbook. You'll work closely with the CEO, product team, and marketing to feed insights back into the company and help us scale what works.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, wants to build something from scratch, and knows how to sell early‑stage software that actually solves a painful, high‑value problem.
What You'll Do
Own and manage the full sales cycle from first touch to close
Convert highly qualified inbound leads (we have a strong pipeline already)
Help shape pricing, positioning, and messaging in real time
Collaborate directly with the founder, engineers, and customer success team
Identify and test outbound strategies alongside marketing
Track and analyze sales performance metrics to optimize the funnel
Provide continuous feedback to improve product and GTM strategy
Help define the sales culture and process from the ground up
What We're Looking For
3–5 years of experience in a full-cycle SaaS sales role (AE, founder‑led sales, or early GTM hire preferred)
Experience selling software to SMBs or accounting/finance teams is a huge plus
You’re a natural closer who knows how to navigate finance buyers and CFO‑level conversations
Comfortable managing a high‑velocity sales process with thoughtful follow‑through
Entrepreneurial mindset—you're not looking for a big team and a playbook, you're excited to build both
Obsessive about learning, feedback, and helping customers win
Strong communication, writing, and storytelling skills
