Intellectual Property/ Patent Agent

This position will be active subject to the status of Chicago’s re-opening.

Patent Agent responsibilities:

Work with scientist and clients to capture

biotech innovations , review and analyze invention disclosures

Analyze patent and scientific documents

to assist with patent prosecution/ litigation

Occasionally provide technical support relating to patent litigation

Work with

the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office

(USPTO);

writing and amending claims/ patents

Client focused ; this position will assume client responsibilities for both domestic and international partners

Required work experience includes:

2-5 years’ demonstrated experience

of intellectual property (IP) experience is a MUST

Ph.D. in

Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or related

field is a MUST

Able to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office ( USPTO ) is a MUST

Prior work experience working with

biopharmaceuticals, immunotherapy, agricultural biotech

or a similar field is HIGHLY PREFERRED

Previous experience working with

international clients

is a PLUS
