Overview As an Electric Shop Technician, your primary responsibility is troubleshooting and repairing commercial aircraft electrical components. This role involves utilizing various tools, equipment, and precision tooling to maintain and enhance the functionality of electrical systems. Additionally, you will be required to read and interpret electrical wiring schematics, solder electronic devices, and perform troubleshooting and repairs on various electromechanical systems.
Responsibilities
Utilize equipment and precision tooling related to electrical actuation (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, dynamometers, load cells).
Read and interpret electrical wiring schematics.
Solder various electronic devices.
Troubleshoot, repair, and build wire bundles, including fiber optics, electrical connectors, and installation/removal of connector pins.
Repair and troubleshoot linear, rotary, and pneumatic electro‑mechanical actuation systems.
Install seals, O‑rings, backup rings, bearings, and bushings.
Inspect and verify conformance of finished work pieces to OEM specifications before release.
Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two years of related commercial/military aircraft maintenance experience.
Airframe or Airframe and Powerplant License preferred.
Physical Effort and Dexterity The employee will be required to sit, use hands and arms, talk or hear, and focus on objects close up. The employee may also stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Ability to handle and climb ladders and aircraft stairs is required.
Compensation The base pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00 per hour, not including bonuses or benefits. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range typically build expertise, while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
