Job Summary:
The HR Generalist aligns business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant on human resource-related issues, acts as an employee champion and change agent, assesses and anticipates HR needs, and proactively communicates with HR and management to deliver value-added services that reflect organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Trusted advisor to leadership teams across geographic regions, providing HR guidance.
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase engagement and retention.
Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues and conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
Conducts exit interviews and provides guidance and advice regarding feedback and trends.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance, partnering with the legal department as needed.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
6+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
Critical and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
Preferred Skills
Experience with employee relations, conflict resolution, organizational development, and/or change management.
Knowledge of benefits administration.
Analytical skills for HR metrics and reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
