Position Benefit Engagement Specialist

Location On‑site at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.

Base Pay Range $50,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr

Starting Annual Base Salary Range for This Position is $50,000 - $60,000.

Monthly Incentive Pay Eligible based on meeting performance metrics following 90 days of active employment.

Essential Functions

Represents BCInsourcing as Company Ambassador to Wellstar Health System by engaging in purpose-driven dialogue with department leaders, providing support while exercising independent judgment to cultivate effective business relationships, and maintaining rapport with all client partners and employees.

Participates in providing SME-certified-license knowledge in client HR/Benefit meetings, NEO presentations, and group meetings for clients’ managers to navigate concerns of their department’s employees.

Makes independent decisions regarding outreach strategy while participating in client initiatives and projects related to total rewards.

Creates an approachable environment in primary and secondary workplace locations, traveling as necessary or operating remotely, to engage and counsel employees about core and voluntary benefit options and coverages; exercises self-driven time management to efficiently respond to impromptu service requests and provide timely answers to client and employee questions.

Responsible for analyzing census data to create a customized reach-out strategy to effectively connect with newly hired and existing employees to conduct personalized one-on-one comprehensive benefit review sessions.

Accurately inputs and captures employee enrollment decisions, using appropriate system platforms or paper application processes, and follows Life and Health licensure regulations and BCInsourcing’s quality assurance.

Develops communication strategies to achieve client goals in changing environments while using professional verbal and interpersonal communication and active listening skills to educate employees and interact with client partners.

Develops and grows a professional work environment including prompt coordination with supervisor or other parties, including client management team, when recognizing accelerated issues or unusual matters to ensure thorough and accurate resolution.

Obtains and maintains an active Life, Health, and Accident Insurance Producer’s License, including timely continuing education, and meets other licensing requirements and documentation as directed by BCInsourcing’s Licensing guidelines; serves as expert on insurance mechanics to advise client leadership and employees, and promptly notifies Licensing Specialist of any licensure-related incidents.

Maintains knowledge of client’s annual open enrollment process for new and existing employees, adapts to open enrollment periods and special projects by adjusting a self-guided work calendar to meet client employee needs, including evenings, weekends, and travel.

Performs other responsibilities as requested by supervisor or client.

Minimum Education And Experience

High School Diploma/GED equivalent and/or related work experience equivalency.

At least 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources, including benefits.

A valid driver’s license to travel to client sites.

Proven relationship-building experiences and professional communication skills.

Demonstrated self-directed work ethic to successfully represent the company at client locations with limited and offsite supervision.

Professional work experience demonstrating self-motivation and result-driven outcomes.

Prior experience in Human Resources to include employee benefits.

Preferred Education And Experience

Advanced degree completed or in process.

Working knowledge of insurance products, including core and voluntary benefits.

Existing active Life, Health, and Accident Insurance Producer’s License, when required by client workplace.
