Company has been in business since 1932 providing delicious snacks and dips across the world. Due to continued growth and expansion into the market, we are currently accepting applications for Diesel Master Mechanic Heavy Trucks to work in Wichita, KS.
Direct-Hire, Monday-Friday, Full Benefits, Hourly Rate
Compensation Hourly Pay $29.00-$38.00 per hour, based on experience. $7,500 sign-on bonus, half paid out after 90 days of employment and half paid out after 6 months. Overtime paid after 40 hours per week. Typical work week is 40-50 hours per week. Weekly paychecks.

Work Schedule Monday- Friday Work 9:00am-5:00pm; work until work is completed. Typically 8-10 hours per day. Schedule flexibility may be available based on candidate's needs. Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule.
Responsibilities Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative and as-needed maintenance of diesel trucks. Properly attend to truck inventory. Interpret and follow work orders and technical manuals. Travel to locations to perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance. Communicate effectively with management, providing them with detailed breakdowns of service requirements and costs. Maintain schedules and document completed preventative maintenance and repairs. Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems. Test repaired equipment for proper performance; ensure work meets manufacturer's specifications according to FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations). Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment. In addition to working in Wichita shop, some travel up to 2 hours to other shop locations.
Requirements Some travel to satellite locations required, up to 2 hours from Wichita shop. Must have valid DL and satisfactory MVR. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic. Minimum of 3 years of experience working on air brakes. Minimum of 3 years of experience managing preventative maintenance program on diesel engines. Knowledge of air, electronic, braking, and suspension systems as well as general mechanical operation and/or light body repair. Familiar with FHWA (Federal Highway Administration), and FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations), BIT (Basic Inspection of Terminals) inspections. High School Diploma or GED (Preferred). Must be able to lift 70 pounds. Candidate must provide his/her own tools. Must have a valid and current US driver's license; no CDL required.
