What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Serve as a subject matter expert for coverage questions and claims handling procedures.
Collaborate with property claims team members on claims review and resolution strategies.
Monitor existing and proposed legislation affecting property claims handling.
Organize and provide training for all Property Claims team members to ensure consistency.
Manage and implement vendor relationships and independent adjuster selections.
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum of ten years of property claims handling experience in progressively responsible roles.
Attainment of all applicable state licenses as required.
Superior knowledge of property insurance contracts and court procedures.
Excellent leadership qualities and superior organizational skills.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Insurance designations such as AIC, CIC, AIM, and CPCU.
Experience with large loss claims.
Proven ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in claims.
Strong knowledge of construction and weather terminology.
Experience in managing catastrophe-related claims.
