Business Development Consultant OAT – Orion
Represent Orion in sales efforts to promote its services to Registered Investment Advisors. Responsible for obtaining new clients or growing existing revenue within the assigned territory. Collaborate with partners and internal employees on sales initiatives. Grow with Orion’s values.
External Candidates Must live within territory: AZ, CA, CO, UT.

In This Role, You’ll Get To
Collaborate with sales management to develop, implement and execute territory sales plans, driving sales goals and retaining assets.
Represent Orion and its products to advisors, effectively enabling advisors to identify Orion product benefits relative to competitors; cross‑sell products (e.g., OCIO) as applicable.
Develop new revenue opportunities and capitalize on referrals in order to increase sales in territory; use channels efficiently to build relationships.
Contact advisors following onsite visits and demonstrations to provide additional information, obtain feedback and use needs‑based selling techniques to inquire about additional product needs.
Ensure receipt of excellent customer service with advisors, including expectations being met and managed.
Create and maintain critical contact relationships with firms involved in the distribution to the same market for referrals or institutional clients such as clearing firms, trust companies, compliance firms, technical advisors.
Monitor, complete and analyze daily/weekly/quarterly sales goals and activity reports to ensure accuracy and to inform sales management of activities within territory in a timely manner.
Ensure discretionary expenses and travel stay within budget.
Meet agreed upon sales activity goals.
Attend ongoing training to maintain current knowledge of all markets and industry developments.
Maintain and update contact database including prospect information and activity in sales automation tools; maintain reports of existing competitor's products.
Attend and participate in development and sponsorship of conferences.
Partner with Marketing in development of campaigns, newsletters, quarterly market reviews and sharing of ideas.
