Overview
Traveling Lead Mechanical/Refrigeration Technician position at Ameritech Facility Services, LLC. The Lead Tech will manage and perform duties such as facility improvements in restaurants and retail establishments, remodels, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry and Equipment Installations, and will lead the crew assisting with project completion. Seasoned EPA licensed refrigeration technicians for installation of ice machines, walk-in coolers/freezers and grease hoods are a plus.

Summary of Position The Lead Tech will manage and perform duties such as facility improvements in Restaurants and Retail Establishments, remodels, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry and Equipment Installations and manage the crew assisting with completion of the project.
Job Responsibilities
Assist the General Manager/Project Manager/Superintendents with managing and completing building or equipment repairs, demolition, removal and/or installation of equipment, and general construction tasks on time and under budget.
Effective communication with General Manager/Project Manager/Superintendents to ensure full understanding of scope of projects.
Performing duties with minimal supervision.
Meetings with customers and store personnel to review projects.
Leading a crew of techs.
Reporting crew performance issues to General Manager/Project Manager/Superintendents.
Ensuring self and crew obtain adequate rest to effectively and safely complete assigned projects.
Conducting surveys to assist with estimating and creation of project scope.
Sourcing and coordinating sub-contractors as needed.
Ability to follow scope of project as described by General Manager/Project Manager/Superintendents.
Understanding of jobsite protocols specific to project and site.
Ability to recognize problems outside of scope and effectively communicate to General Manager/Project Manager/Superintendents.
Purchasing and delivering needed materials in a timely fashion.
Daily reporting to General Manager/Project Manager/Superintendents.
Maintaining a clean work environment.
Ensuring crew reports to work and takes appropriate breaks and lunch periods.
Maintaining composure when faced with adverse situations and rapidly changing environments.
Ensuring quality of workmanship from self and crew.
Use of basic tools and the ability to install or assemble by following instructions.
Heavy lifting, standing, bending, and reaching.
Working a flexible schedule of days, nights, or weekends.
Performing the job safely by demonstrating full awareness of surroundings and using proper safety techniques; proactively alert management of unsafe acts or conditions.
Ability to manage time and prioritize; follow special instructions and schedules.
Effective internal and external communication; field questions and proactively develop plans of action to resolve issues.
Maintaining a clean and professional appearance.
Completion of accurate and timely paperwork and reports (photos, recaps, itineraries, time sheets, expense reports, etc.).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge and experience in General Contracting.
Ability to use hand tools.
Ability to manage time and complete projects on time and under budget.
Computer skills.
Hot Side/Cold Side Restaurant Equipment knowledge.
General knowledge of all trades.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb a ladder.
Must have a valid email address.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of construction safety and safety procedures.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Extremely organized.
18 years of age or older.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Access to reliable transportation to reach customer locations.
Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Ability to travel 75-100% of the time.
Physical Demands These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee may be required to:
Move about the work site around people and equipment.
Occasionally ascend/descend a ladder or stairs.
