Construction Laborer / Helper
Job Description
As a Construction Laborer / Helper, you will play a vital role in the company's success,
working on construction projects performing general labor tasks such as demolition, loading/unloading, digging, and clean-up. We are seeking hardworking and motivated individuals who enjoy hands‑on work and take pride in seeing tangible results from their efforts.
Responsibilities
Assist skilled carpenters and superintendents in various construction tasks.
Load and unload construction materials, and transfer them to appropriate locations on-site.
Operate hand and power tools of all types.
Demonstrates mechanical ability.
Demonstrates proficiency in basic mathematics.
Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
Follow all health and safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Perform physical labor as directed by the site supervisor.
Work efficiently and effectively.
Strong customer service & great attitude.
Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Qualifications
Previous experience in residential or commercial construction is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are essential.
Must have a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and have reliable transportation.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.
Ability to follow instructions and work within a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
