Sheet Metal/HVAC Foreman
Colorado Mechanical Systems, LLC. (CMS) is privately owned and operates in Centennial, Colorado. CMS provides commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and plumbing services across the Colorado Front Range, including Pueblo, Colorado Springs, Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of assembling and installing sheet metal products.
Responsible for entire duct detailing function.
Coordinates all duct deliveries with shop and checks deliveries for accuracy and completeness.
May study schedules and estimate requirements for completion of job and analyze and resolve work problems.
Coordinates ductwork with other trades (plumbing, piping, framers, steel, fire sprinklers, etc.) and orders sheet metal materials to meet project schedule.
Coordinates equipment delivery with project manager/engineer and general contractor.
Updates as‑builts.
Manages staffing and productivity, delivery records, tool log, safety talk, project meetings, rental log, subcontractor activities, and RFI details.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises installation of all duct, duct accessories, equipment, and related material.
Reviews daily time cards and sets daily and weekly installation goals.
Moderates safety meetings, daily inspections for installation and safety, and enforces CMS policies, procedures, quality standards, code compliance, and disciplinary measures.
Determines crew size, hours worked, and provides daily and weekly direction.
Installation Responsibilities
Works foreman level, installing hangers, ductwork, setting curbs, assisting with crane picks, and site cleanup.
Physical requirements: Able to lift, push, pull and twist up to 50 lbs throughout the workday; work overhead, climb ladders, and work on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
Daily activities include sitting, kneeling, climbing, squatting, crawling, digging, and ascending and descending ladders and scaffolding constantly.
Customer Service Responsibilities
Daily communication with general contractor and CMS operations team.
Weekly job site meetings and coordination with other trades.
Education and Experience
Minimum of five years commercial experience.
Experience with TDF, Pittsburgh and snap lock construction, TDC, duct mate, 22mm, 35mm, S & D, Spiral, duct board fiberglass, FRP ductwork.
Extensive knowledge of local building codes and basic OSHA safety requirements.
Ability to layout a duct system from a blueprint and set elevations.
Compensation and Benefits Pay: $35.00-$47.00 per hour depending on skill and experience. Company vehicle provided with sufficient MVR. Benefits: Health, vision, dental; company paid life insurance; company paid short term disability; 401k with company match; paid holidays and PTO.
