Minimum of 21 years of age
Able to rebuild engines
Able to work nights
MUST HAVE DIESEL ENGINE CERTIFICATION
MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS
Minimum of 5 years' experience
Must have a valid driver's license with approvable driving record
Must be able to pass a drug test
Speak, write, read, and understand English
Job duties
Determinevehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests to identifyworn and damaged parts.
Keepequipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance, installingcomponent and part upgrades,controllingcorrosion, andcompletingwinterization procedures
Correctvehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics, and making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units
Verifyvehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems
Complywith federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards
Maintainvehicle records by annotating services and repairs
Containcosts by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options
Keepsupplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt
Enhancemaintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
