Summary/Objective The position of a Boilermaker- Lead is responsible for the day-to-day mechanical activities performed in client facilities. A Boilermaker- Lead performs the mechanical work toward its projects’ goal of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Service. The role involves maximizing the quality of the Company’s work while maintaining client expectations, ensuring a safe working environment, and conducting all business in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

Assemble, install, analyze defects, and repair boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, vats, and duct work in the field.

Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools, gas torches, welding equipment, and operate metalworking machinery as needed.

Demolish and dismantle leaky boilers, patch weak spots, replace defective sections, and strengthen joints.

Use rigging equipment such as chain falls and come alongs.

Read and interpret prints and plans.

Assist with equipment cleaning and loading.

Ensure safety in the work environment.

Operate and maintain company equipment.

Report job scope changes to supervisors.

Maintain communication with supervisors and support project timelines.

Supervise and develop field personnel as needed.

Follow safety, quality, and OSHA guidelines.

Attend required training and pass drug/alcohol tests and background checks.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Physical Demands This role operates in a petrochemical/refinery environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, and extreme temperatures. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various physical positions for extended periods.

Position Details This is a project-based position with variable hours and extensive travel expected across the U.S., including overnight stays.

Requirements High school diploma or equivalent, with 4-5 years of related industry experience. Knowledge of rigging, crane signals, and safety equipment. Familiarity with tools and equipment maintenance. Strong math and science skills.

Preferred Qualifications Over 5 years of experience, TWIC, NCCER certification, OSHA training, First Aid/CPR, and a Class “A” driver’s license are preferred.
